With summer just around the corner, we’ve teamed up with the magically talented MUAs at Huda Beauty to bring you our biggest and best makeup tips yet. Learn how to amp up your eyeliner game, add splashes of colour to your cheeks, and try out some showstopping step-by-step looks - the choice is all yours.

Green is the hue of the season, but are there any other colour trends you like for this summer?

Lime greens, saturated yellows, and sunset oranges are the way to go this season, but if you like bold blues, periwinkle blue is the colour for 2022! You can find most of these shades in our new Color Block Obsessions eyeshadow palettes. Prime the eyelids with a fair concealer 3 to 4 shades lighter than your skin, then press your eye shadow into the lid for maximum colour payoff.

How can we add our own twist to cat-eye flicks?

Jazz up cat-eye flicks with our new Cake Liners in either Lilac or Blue from our gorgeous Color Block Obsessions palettes, or try a floating liner by lining just above the natural crease of your eye.

With festival season just around the corner, what is your favourite look to create?

We love a dramatic eye. Try a cut crease using lots of contrasting but matching colours!

We’ve seen bejewelled eyes become a huge trend this year, how can we achieve this look at home?

Adding embellishments is super easy! Dot on crystals, sequins & dried flowers by using Huda Beauty’s Sticky Tack lash glue and a pair of tweezers, and make sure that the glue becomes tacky before applying it to your eye. The key is to get creative; add them above or on your eyeliner, or use shimmer shadows to add a more subtle embellishment with shades like Moon Magic or Blissful from our Rose Quartz palette.

Compliment with #FauxFilter Skin Finish Foundation, and add a perfect pop of colour on the cheeks with Cheeky Tint Blush sticks. Just swipe them on and tap with your fingers! Then try the new Liquid Matte Liquid Lipsticks, or the Silk Balm for glossy lips. Just remember to match the colour with your eyeshadow undertones!

This summer is all about celebration. Is there a way we can incorporate colourful looks more subtly into our everyday?

Add a little pop in the inner corner of your eye, line your lower lash line, or try coloured eyeliner - you don’t have to go OTT! If you like more traditional methods like a spotlight or cut crease, just add a hint of colour in the middle as a feature.

What trends do you hope to see more of this summer?

It has to be a statement blush! You can use it in so many ways. Pop it on your lips or your eyes, and use it to add a little more life into the skin. There are so many new ways to apply it, so you can get creative and have some fun!

To create this look, we used #FauxFilter foundation as an eye base, before setting with Easy Bake Setting Powder. We then chose the sky blue cake liner from our green/blue Color Block Obsessions Palette to create this cloud-like look. Starting with a fluffy wet brush, we pressed freehand onto the lid, and added some depth of colour with our Legit Lashes Mascara in blue for a speckled effect. We then finished with Legit Lashes in black on the top lashes only!

With eye colour this bright, we went with a neutral Liquid Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Perfectionist’, and a wash of Silk Balm in Honey Kiss for gloss. We kept cheeks simple with Tantour and a splash of Glow Obsessions, before swiping on our Cheeky Tint Blush.

For brows, we simply microshaded with #BombBrows pencil and set with Full N Fluffy to add volume.

As with Asa, we used #FauxFilter Foundation as a base and set with Easy Bake setting powder, before settling on our Color Block Obsessions Palette in green/blue for a high-energy look! We started by mapping out the shape of the eyeshadow with #FauxFilter Foundation and an angled brush, before pressing on the matte blue shade of the palette with a dense flat blush to really deliver colour payoff. For a little sparkle, pressed on the blue baked flakes shade with a finger. Again we finished with Legit Lashes in black.

For her brows, we used #BombBrow Full N Fluffy to fluff the front of the brow and #BombBrow Microshade Pencil to define the tail and fill in any sparser areas, keeping the cheeks understated with Tantour, Glow Obsessions and a swipe of Cheeky Tint. Her lip look was super simple: we showcased her cupids bow with Lip Contour and added lots of Silk Balm in Honey Kiss for shine.

Starting with #FauxFilter Foundation and Easy Bake Setting Powder as a base, we opted for a softer look with our orange/purple Color Block Obsessions Palette! We took the lilac cake liner all over her lid and added a more pastel blown out effect with the lilac eyeshadow to soften the edges, before sweeping on a layer of Legit Lashes in black. To add the floral effect, we placed Stick Tash Lash Glue onto an assortment of dried flowers in lilac, purple and cream, waiting until it went tacky before creating an ombre effect above the lash line.

This look called for fluffy brows, so we used #BombBrow Microshade Pencil to add more hairstrokes & fluff the brows out more, going on to define the tail of the brow and setting with #BombBrow Full N Fluffy. We didn’t want to match with a perfect lip, so we used a light wash of Liquid Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Sweet Talker’ with a fluffy brush, along with some Silk Balm Honey Kiss and light dusting of highlighter from the Glow Obsessions Palette.

Ella has a super editorial look, so we had to use the blue/green Color Block Obsessions palette! As with the other looks, we went with a base of #FauxFilter Foundation in the lightest shade, before packing on the lime green shade. Blowing it out above the crease, we then added the sea green shade in a thick cut crease and blended it out, finishing with Legit Lashes in black! We only needed to add a tiny bit of definition on the brows, so we used #BombBrows Microshade pencil and Full N Fluffy to set.

For her cheeks, we used Tantour, and the GloWish MultiDew Skin Tint to add more gloss. We then tapped on the Cheeky Tint Blush on both cheeks and lips for a light touch of colour! And of course, added Silk Balm Honey Kiss for some shine
