Cat face painting: Blush overload
Step one: Add dimension to the face with the Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick in Light Medium and the Rare Beauty Happy Blush on the Sephora Collection 04 Brush followed by the HAUS LABS Rose Quartz Highlighter on the temples using the 05 Brush. *Meow*.
Step two: Take the two matte pink shades from the Sephora Collection Rebellious Rosey Nude Palette using the 09 Brush to create a soft shadow in the crease and adding the deeper shade to the outer corner.
Step three: Use the 08 Brush to apply concealer to the inner third of the eyes, drawing towards the start of the brow and setting with the matte cream shade. Take the deeper pink shade again, this time on the 12 Brush to deepen the contrast of the line created.
Step four: Now, use the Rare Beauty Liquid Liner to create this graphic eye, extending the wing on both corners of the top lash line, connecting this to the bottom lash line, and curving that line downwards to the nose.
Step five: With the same eyeliner, draw a curved oval shape on the tip of the nose and three whiskers on each cheek, making sure each of these are thicker towards the centre of the face.
Step six: Use the Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Night Bird and Rose Instinct to create this 2-colour lip. Apply the black shade to the top lip and the Soft Pink to the bottom along with the Sephora Collection Outrageous Plump Gloss to complete the illusion.
Painted skeleton face: Sun-kissed mocha
Step one: Choose a medium brown eyeshadow from the Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Palette. Apply this to your eyelid, concentrating on the roots of your lashes and blending upwards. Blend it well into the crease using Sephora Collection 13 The Multitasker Eye Brush.
Step two: Select a darker brown eyeshadow a shade or two deeper than the lid colour. Use the Sephora Collection Pro Eyeshadow 15 Brush to apply this to your crease. Focus on the outer V of your eye. The key to a smokey eye is a seamless transition of colours. For added depth, you can use a very dark brown or even a matte black eyeshadow on the outer corner of your eye and close to the roots of your eyelashes. Use the Sephora Collection 10 Smudger Brush and apply with tapping motions, blending it into the crease colour. Be careful not to go too high or too far in. Focus on the part under your brow, close to the nose and blend upwards while frowning.
Step three: Define the cheekbones: Suck in your cheeks to find the hollows. Use a grey/black eyeshadow or face paint to contour along these lines, creating the illusion of sunken cheekbones. Blend the colour well for a more realistic effect. Add a line with a dark brown eyebrow pencil, starting from the outer face to the centre. Lastly, create horizontal lines on that for the illusion of teeth.
Step four: Use the same dark brown pencil or face paint to create a triangular shape on the tip of your nose, with the point facing upwards towards your eyebrows. Fill in the triangle.
Step five: Line your lips with Sephora Collection 8h Colorful Transfer-Proof Lip Liner in 08 Perfect Beige and fill in the edges. Add on the centre Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in 120 Soft Mocha and blend the lip liner with the lip stain. Dead cool.
Morticia Addams: Cherry on the top
Step one: Brighten up the centre of the face using Tarte Cosmetics Shape Tape Concealer, at least two shades lighter than your usual concealer.
Step two: Choose the lightest colour from the Huda Beauty Creamy Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette. Apply this to your eyelid, concentrating the colour on the centre of your lid. Blend towards the brow.
Step three: Using a light cool tone brown, focus on the part under your brow, close to the nose and blend alongside your crease. Also, concentrate the colour on the outer corner of your lid.
Step four: On the same areas using the Sephora Collection 10 Smudger Brush and apply with tapping motions, add a medium tone grey eyeshadow. Also, focus the application close to the roots of your lashes.
Step five: Add more definition, using again the Sephora Collection 10 Smudger Brush with a matte black eyeshadow, focusing on the outer corner of the lid and the roots of the lashes. And don’t forget the lower lash line for a full effect. Lastly, add a generous amount of mascara and false lashes.
Step six: Define the cheekbones: Suck in your cheeks to find the hollows of your cheekbones. Use a grey, black eyeshadow or face paint to contour along the hollows, creating the illusion of sunken cheekbones. Blend the colour well for a more realistic effect.
Step seven: Line your lips with Sephora Collection 8h Colorful Transfer-Proof Lip Liner in 15 Molasses and fill in the edges and then use the same lip liner in 20 Berry Bang, blending the two colours. Add on the centre Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Love Liberty and blend the lip liner with the lip stain. Lastly, add a generous amount of Sephora Collection Outrageous plump effect gloss in 01. Scarily voluminous.
Clown makeup: Colourful experimentation
Step one: Add dimension to the face with the Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick in Light Medium on the 04 Brush and HAUS LABS Moonstone Highlighter on the 05 Brush.
Step two: Sketch the White and Periwinkle Sephora Collection Shadow Sticks onto the lid to create a base gradient, starting with the white on the inner corner and using the 09 Brush to blend this into the Periwinkle shade on the outer third and lower lash line.
Step three: Line the eyes with the Sephora Collection Eye Pencil in black, using the 10 Brush to smoke this into the outer third and the lower lash line to deepen the eyes.
Step four: To set these in place, use the white and lilac shades from the Sephora Collection Ethereal Lilac Palette, patting the white shade onto the inner third with the 08 Brush and buffing the lilac shade over the outer corner with the 09 Brush.
Step five: Add even more drama to the look with the Sephora Collection Colourful Eyeshadows in Ultraviolet and Black lace, to further deepen the outer corner and smoke out the lash line.
Step six: Add contrast to the lids using the Baby Blue Sephora Collection Shadow Stick with the 10 Brush above each brow and under each eye before using the Rare Beauty Liquid Eyeliner to draw four elongated triangles at the centre of the blue gradient.
Step seven: For the lips, line using the Sephora Collection Lip Stain in Night Bird and blend the shade Alter Ego into the centre before topping with the Sephora Collection Lip Gloss in Wild for a Purple Sparkle. The holographic effect is no joke.
