'Bringing Back Colour' Makeup Look by Tom Hoey, Sephora UK Beauty Advisor

How to Create ‘Bringing Back Colour’ Makeup Look

Step 1: Base

I start by prepping my skin with Caudalie Grape Water to hydrate and refresh my base.

Next, I apply the Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Foundation in the shade R2 using the Makeup by Mario F4 brush, pressing the foundation into the skin to keep the coverage full and even.

Using the same brush, I apply the Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand in the shade Fair to add soft definition to the face.

Step 2: Cheeks

For blush, I use the Rhode Pocket Blush in the shade Juicebox and switch to the smaller side of the F4 brush so I can control the placement more precisely.

I then correct any darkness using the Huda Beauty Colour Corrector in the shade Cherry Light.

Step 3: Eyes

To highlight and brighten my under-eyes, I apply the Hourglass Concealer in the shade Cotton.

I set the under-eye area with the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Powder in Sugar Cookie to keep it bright and long-lasting.

For the eyeshadow, I use the Haus Labs Pigment Paints in Mint Matte, Black Onyx, and Citrine Matte to build the eye look and create the shape I want.

I use the Make Up For Ever Aqua Resist Pencil to create a smokey winged liner, blending it into the shadow and bringing it into my waterline for added depth.

On the centre of my lid, I apply a mix of the green and yellow shimmer shades from the Danessa Myricks Lightwork Palette for a bright, reflective pop.

I then add the Sephora Collection Special FX Retractable Eyeliner in the shade 02 to my waterline for extra intensity.

Step 4: Highlight & Brows

For highlight, I mix the Sephora Collection Highlighters in shades 2 and 3 with the yellow shimmer from the Danessa Myricks palette and apply it to the high points of my face.

To smooth and brighten my under-eyes even further, I apply a touch of Hourglass Translucent Setting Powder.

Next, I brush up my brows using the ByEllie Brow Texture Gel to give them shape and a fluffy finish.

Step 5: Lips & Set

For lips, I line them with the Make Up For Ever Aqua Resist Pencil in the shade 02 Ebony, then apply the Sephora Collection Matte Lipstick in the shade 02.

I add a touch of the green pigment from the Danessa Myricks Lightwork Palette to my cupid’s bow for a creative highlight.

To finish the look, I set everything in place with the Danessa Myricks Universal Blurring Setting Spray.
